India is known for two major things – our Bollywood movies and our weddings. Combine these two and you’ll get a breath-taking experience so absolutely amazing that you wouldn’t want the wedding ceremonies to come to an end.

It’s December, so naturally, you’ll be attending a lot of weddings. We decided to make a list of Bollywood movies that you could watch this wedding season that would give you a major wedding outfit, decor, and sangeet goals. Read on and make sure to take notes!

1. Shaandaar

Starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Shaadaar revolves around a shaadi set-up where Shahid plays the role of a wedding planner and Alia that of the bride’s sister. The movie was said to be ‘India’s first destination wedding film’.

2. Band Baaja Baraat

Ranveer Singh’s Bollywood debut with Anushka Sharma as his leading lady, Band Baaja Baraat is all about weddings! Ranveer and Anushka play the role of wedding planners, making the movie a must-watch this wedding season.

3. Hum Aapke Hai Kaun

A classic, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun was ‘the’ wedding movie of its time! The movie had a song for each wedding function. What’s more? Salman and Madhuri gave us serious fashion ideas and aww moments along the way!

4. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge

Another classic, Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. The movie is full of wedding drama and a big fat Punjabi wedding for you to witness!

5. Hum Saath Saath Hain

A commercial hit during its time, Hum Saath Saath Hain features not one but three weddings. This film is all about weddings and the challenges one might face in a joint family.

6. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan

Ever imagined how dramatic it would be if the groom’s brother fell in love with the bride-to-be? This movie shows just that! Thankfully, it wasn’t intense but a beautiful rom-com where everything ended on a good note!

7. Namaste London

Starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, Namaste London is about an NRI wedding. The movie talks about the contrast between India and the West where marriages, parenting, and respect come in the picture.

2 States

The movie 2 States is about the union of two different cultures and two different people because love triumphs all! The movie depicts the hardships a couple goes through to make an inter-caste wedding successful.

8. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani

This Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Kalki Koechlin created a rage! Based around an extravagant wedding at a palace in Udaipur, this wedding has songs, drama, emotions, and fun!
